FAQ

  1. How much will my design project cost?

This is an important question, but is unfortunately one that can’t always be answered without the details of your design project. Check out our Graphic Design and Web Design Services/Packages pages for an idea on where the pricing of your project may fall. Because your company and its design needs are different from every other, we will tailor a quote to your individual needs.

  2. How do you accept payment?

With most design projects, we require a downpayment of up to 50% of the total project cost prior to scheduling work. We request this downpayment to secure the necessary applications, files, server space, stock photography and other materials necessary to begin work on your site. We accept Credit Cards via Paypal or Certified Checks / Money Orders. A complete payment schedule and payment details will be included with you design proposal and contract. The remaining balance is payable upon completion of the project, prior to supply of original artwork.

  3. Can you start right away?

Depending on our current work load it is possible. If your job requires rush priority please contact us to see if we are able to schedule and complete your job within the time frame you require.

  4. How long will my project take to complete?

At the beginning of each project we will set a timetable for the completion of major milestones, such as when you can expect initial concepts, and how long potential revisions may take. Because each project is different, we wait until we know your needs before providing a deadline. Depending upon the complexity of your design project work may last from a few weeks in length to upwards of six months.

  5. Will you use current design trends for my project?

Trends show where we’ve been, and can give a glimpse into where we’re going. We don’t, however, create our designs based solely upon trends, because we don’t want you to have to come back to us in a couple of years because your design is out-of-date. We strive to provide you with a design that will last the duration of your business, that won’t look out of style when trends change.

  6. Will you research my competitors?

Evaluating the competition is a necessary part of the design process, and should be expected from any designer. Researching client competitors for every project helps us insure we provide you with a unique and effective design fit for your industry that you will be proud of for many years to come.

  7. I don’t see my city listed in your service area. Is that a problem?

We are more than happy to do business with clients from outside the mid Michigan area. Feel free to fill out our contact form or give us a call at (810) 309-1752 with the details of your project.

  8. Will you feature my project in your portfolio?

Carbon 3 Studios reserves the right to showcase all of our designs on our website and in our promotional material. We try to display as much of our work as possible but cannot guarantee yours will be included.

  9. Can you be reached by telephone?

Feel free to call us with any questions you may have. We are available between 9am and 5pm EST, Monday thru Friday. We are however often away from our phone but are almost always near a computer, so if you don’t reach us or would like an expedited response please contact us through our contact form.

  10. What are Web Standards?

Web Standards are commonly agreed upon guidelines for CSS, XHTML and other technical specifications that define and describe aspects of the World Wide Web that ensure web sites are more accessible and easily usable. Web Standards are frequently associated with the trend of endorsing a set of standardized best practices for building web sites, and a philosophy of web design and development that includes those methods.
